Two Men Face Charges In Connection With Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Attack
Two individuals are now facing charges in connection with a luggage theft where a substance thought to be capsaicin spray resulted in harm at the major London air hub.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two counts of robbery and two counts of administering a noxious substance, according to official statements.
The charges follow an probe of an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Earlier that day, two female travelers had their suitcases stolen after exiting a parking garage elevator, according to law enforcement.
A young child was among those injured during the incident. A total of five individuals required hospital care and were eventually allowed to go home.
This event – described by police as was a standalone event and deemed non-terroristic – led to disruptions to rail services and the temporary blocking of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area for a short time.
